Strange

Aaahhh!!! finally I finished my internship and was getting prepared to finish lot of things related to it and wanted to complete it with perfection. Many a times I used to think that I have to follow a "To-Do" list which was never implemented but this time around without my concious effort I started scribbling on a notepad about the work which I had to do on that day and amazingly sorted out in sequence as to what should be done first.

1. Lab
2. Printouts
3. Replace
4. Office
5. College
6. Collect

After following such a nice 'to-do' list I was very satisfied but again I know my self so very well that this will never be implemented again....

Wanted to blog this down so that atleast I feel proud of myself sometimes....

Refined or Redefined?

When asked about Children:

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

Last nite I was reading "The Prophet" by Khalil Gibran and after going through the above lines, I just can't describe what I felt, made lot of sense to me.

A long Journey

I dont remember when did the journey start but it started long back,
A never ending journey is envisaged in front of my eyes and I see no way out.

Every new day I am waiting for this journey to end, the more I wait, the more it lengthens...

The Mouse Hunt: A Learning Experience

Finally it was time to comeback from a good vacation after our weary exams. Standing at the railway station I had no clue about what kind of hardships I would come across while trying to get into a summer internship, one thing was for sure that the coming days would be fun (well you never know). Well somewhere in my mind I had decided that I will come out productive and was eagerly looking forward to it.

Come sweet home which had been left alone for 10 days, did not expect the first hardship right around the corner. A teeny-weeny brown coloured "jerry" runs over the mattress half folded on the ground, tries to climb the cot, reaches to the top in a jiffy and suddenly ends up finding itself again back to ground, tries to runaway and hide from the monsters who just arrived watching it like spectators and finally achieves its goal succesfully. Learning: "Try try till you succeed".

After this small incident we were fast asleep, never thought on whether our little friend would trouble us again and we completely forgot about it, though we had it in mind that we wanted to chase jerry out in the same manner it had entered.

"Venu...Venu..." I heard a voice, waking me up saying "dude its late we have to go to office, get up and get ready" the thought of going late to the office woke me up and I went to the bathroom only to find out our little friend swiming in a small bucket 1/4th filled with water near the pot. I just could'nt believe that our friend was enjoying a cold water bath in this heat and suddenly the dirty mind started working to catch hold of the mouse and let it away from our room.

I held the bucket in utmost care and walked very slowly outside the room just to make sure that Jerry does not pop out and land on my chest or anywhere for that matter and as soon as I reached the gate I threw the water away only to see the mouse happily sprinting. I was happy with the feeling of satisfaction of seeing the ugly thing out of my place, had a nice shower. Learning: "If you have an oppurtunity then grab it, otherwise someone else will take your chance"

I blogged this because I always feel that something, someway and somehow in life teaches you something and everyday is a new learning for a new beginning.... Like my Mouse Hunt !!!

Well to keep you updated I just found out that Jerry has come back with vengeance...
Learning:"Don't count your chickens before they hatch"... Cheers!!

Decisions

"I am thinking of joining Guitar classes" but never joined it, never understood the importance of that thought of learning Guitar. Now I feel like playing "Sultans of Swing" and regret of the ignorance taken at that time of life. Its easy to say that "lets live the way as life wants us to" not knowing that decision was taken by us to lead that way. Life plays a game which we are not aware of all the time and we dont have a planning as such to evade it and then comes in the feeling of "Why am I so indecisive" blaming circumstances to self. Confusion creeps in when you know the options available are very much to our liking but cannot take a decision thinking about the loss of not choosing an alternative. Negative thoughts are always the ones which win over the positves and decision making becomes so damn difficult. "Be practical, be practical" actually meaning to say allow your brain to take the drain, heart eventually oozes out blood, decisions become confusions and there you see the difficult phase of life. The heart never stops intervening with anything and we have to take steps as heart says because we are human beings and have "feelings". Decisions taken by the mind is always bold and heart always has the gutsy feeling of missing out on something which is very dearer. Giving a chance to the brain to make decisions is not a bad option and would like to do it this time.
